1910 OR CENSUS - James K. Sears (widowed, b Iowa) enumerated with daughter  Maude V. Gorsline (30y, b Oregon, married 4 years, mother of 2 children, both living), her husband William D. Gorsline (29y, b Oregon) and their 2 children, Helen B. (3y, b Oregon) and Lois D. (2y, b Oregon); also with family was employee Albert Werner (31y, widowed, b Michigan) 

James K. Sears, 82, prominent member of the state grange and in political life in Polk county, Oregon, did at the home of his daughter Mrs. Charles L. Walker, Hillsboro, Or., yesterday. He had been ill for a short time.
Mr. Sears was born in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa, September 15, 1847. He came to Oregon at about the age of 20 years and taught school at Perrydale for a time. He helped organize the farmer’s co-operative warehouse at McCoy, Or., when the railway was built through that region and continued in the grain business for many years. It was while there that he became interested in the state grange and in local politics.
Surviving him are five children: Mrs. W. D. Gorsline, Salem; Mrs. George W. Kinman, Coton, Cal.; Mrs. Chales L. Walker, Hillsboro; Mrs. J. W. Smuck, Seattle, Wash., and W. Earle Sears, Portland.
Funeral services will be held at Rigdon & Son chapel in Salem at 1 P.M. tomorrow and interment will be in Spring Valley cemetery near Zena.
