OBITUARY:
William Hayes Ridgway, January 9, 1943-August 5, 2012
Salem – William “Bill” Hayes Ridgway passed away on the morning of August 5 at Capital Manor. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Bill was the son of Howard and Dorothy Jucker. Bill was raised in San Pedro, California, There he met his wife, Pat, with whom he spent 48 wonderful years. In 1975, Bill and Pat moved their family to Medford, where they raised their three children, Tracy, Bill and Holly. After twelve years in Medford, they moved to Lake Oswego, finally settling in Salem in 1991. Bill and Pat lived in West Salem and enjoyed many happy times with the Briarwood gang. Since the passing of Pat in 2010, Bill resided at Capital Manor. Bill graduated from Woodbury University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He worked his way through college while supporting his young family. Bill became an accountain and worked with many small businesses and individuals over the years. In 1993, Bill graduated from Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management with a Masters of Business Administration. Bill is survived by his three children, Tracy (husband, Rob), Bill Jr (wife, Susan), and Holly (husband, Bryce), his nine grandchildren: Katie, Caroline, Brooke, Henry, Jack, Michael, Gracie, Toby and Liam; his sister Sharon (husband Jack), and brothers George (wife, Marilynn) and John (wife, Jean); his life-long best friend, Joe Padilla, and his many other friends who knew and loved him. A celebration is planned for family and friends on Saturday. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
