OBITUARY: 

Fred Leroy Woelk, 63, Rt 1, Box 398, died Friday in a Salem nursing home following a short illness. He was born on his parents’ farm and had lived and worked there all his life. Surviving are sisters Mrs Edna Gritton, Mrs Winifred Hicks and Mrs Velma Carpenter; brothers Clarence, William, Frank and Theodore, all of Salem. Services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday in Barrick mortuary. Interment will be in Zena Cemetery near Lincoln in Polk County.
