OBITUARY: 

Ival Raymond Utterback, 82, 2265 Fisher Road NE, died Sunday at the residence following a short illness. A native of Sioux City, Iowa, he came to Salem in 1912. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Court Street Christian Church. Surviving are son Victor, Salem; daughters Mrs Hazel Hadley, Albany, Mrs Zelda Porter, Hood River, Mrs Alice Roberts, Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Mrs Arlene Tanner, Salem; brother George, Albany; sister Mrs Ellamay Pugh, Shedd; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending at the Howell-Edwards Funeral Home.
