OBITUARY: 

Mrs Grace W. Shepard, 80, of Salem Rt 1, Box 754, died Thursday at her home in the Zena area northwest of Salem. Mrs Shepard had lived in Zena since 1945, and before that lived for 36 years in Alaska where she was a registered nurse for the US Bureau of Indian Affairs. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Marjorie S. Washburn, Salem, brother, Rev Jack L. Webster, Olympia, Wash, and two grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Barrick Funeral Home, with burial in Zena Cemetery.

Webster, Olympia, Wash; grandsons, Robert Washburn and Harold Washburn Jr, both USN. Services Wednesday, Nov 4 at 1:30 pm at the Barrick Chapel, Dr J. Maurice Thompson officiating. Interment Zena Cemetery. The family requests that those who with may make contributions to the Special Sunday School Fund at Spring Valley Church, Zena.
