OBITUARY: 

Mrs Mary Rugs [sic], age 85 years, died at the home of her son in West Salem yesterday at 11:30 am. The funeral will be held at the undertaking parlors of Webb and Clough at 2 pm tomorrow, Rev Alexander Hawthorne officiating, and interment will be made at Zena, Polk county. She is survived by two sons, Chas S. and Alfred F. Ruge of West Salem and three grandchildren.
