Paul Joseph Poe, Dec 8, 1919-Oct 24, 1994

Paul Joseph Poe, 74, died Monday in Salem. He was born in Dayton, Ky, and came to Oregon in 1968 from Glasgow, Ky. In 1970 he came to Salem from Medford. He worked in sales management for Moormans Manufacturing. He was a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He enjoyed woodworking and photography. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Salem. He married Mary E. Poe 48 years ago in Connersville, Ind. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Jane E. Poe of Omaha, Neb, and JoAnn Bowles and Julie A. Orias, both of Salem; son, Thomas J. of Salem; brothers, Ralph D. Poe of Campbellsville, Ky, Clark R. Doughty of Independence, Mo, and Jack P. Chapman of Salem; sister, Rose E. Dooley of Greenfield, Ind; and seven grandchildren. Visiting will be from 9 am to 8 pm today and Thursday, and from 9 am to noon Friday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Services will begin at 1 pm Friday in the mortuary. Interment will be in Spring Valley Cemetery, Zena. Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
