OBITUARY: 

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, in Portland First Unitarian Church for Dr. David W. Macfarlane, who died March 27 of an aortic aneurism at age 80.
Dr. Macfarlane was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School and served in the Navy. A pediatrician, he moved to Portland in 1954, to Salem in 1957, and returned in 1967 to Portland, where he was a director of the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center at OHSU, where he worked more than 25 years. In 1952, he married Dr. Jean Peters; she died in 2006.
Survivors include his daughters, Jean Macfarlane-Malarkey and Leith B. Macfarlane; son, Ross A.; and five grandchildren.
Remembrances to the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center in care of OHSU Foundation. Arrangements by Ross Hollywood.
