OSBH DC (Marion County 1914) #2044 - Fred Loose, male, farmer, b. Germany, d. 9 Aug 1914 west of Salem, Oregon at the age of 83 yrs 2 mos 4 days, name of father Henry Loose (b. Germany), maiden name of mother Elizabeth Sturn (b. Germany), interment Zena; informant Ed Loose, Rt 1, Salem.

OBITUARY: 

[Died] Loose – At the home of his son, E.J. Loose, three miles northwest of Salem, in Polk county, August 9, at 10:55 pm, Fred Loose, aged 83 years, 2 months, 4 days. A pioneer of ’52. His children surviving him are: Mrs Cora Walling, Lincoln; Mr Chas Loose, Aumsville; E.J. Loose, Salem; Mrs Minner Root, Portland; W.H. Loose and F.E. Loose, both of Salem. He also leaves several brothers and sisters in the east. The funeral will be held from the home of his son in Polk county, Tuesday, August 11, at 1 pm. Burial in Zena cemetery. Services at the Zena church.
