OBITUARY:
Vicki Ann Kime, 20, 7096 Portland Road NE, died Sunday from injuries received in a car accident Saturday night. She was a passenger in a car driven by Debra L. Townsend, 17, 1837 Modoc Drive NE, police said. Miss Townsend was in critical condition Sunday night with a ruptured spleen, fractured jaw and head injuries, a Salem Hospital Memorial Unit spokesman said. The collision occurred near Portland Road and Lana Avenue NE about 7:20 pm. The occupants of the other car, the Gary Dean Palmer family of Vancouver, apparently were not seriously injured. Mrs Kime’s death was the 29th traffic facility in Marion County and the 92nd in the Mid-Willamette Valley this year. A 1974 graduate of McNary High School, she was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her widower, Rick W.; mother, Dorothy Scott, Salem; father Donald Scott, Aumsville; grandparents, Mr and Mrs Earnest Scott, Congress, Ariz; grandmother, Anna Shryock, Salem; brother, Gregory Scott, Salem; sister, Sheri Scott, Salem Services will be a 1 pm Tuesday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary with interment in Zena Cemetery.
