JEFFRIES - At the family home, Monday, September 17, 1894, at 1 o'clock p.m., Cassa, eldest daughter of Dr. W. D. and Mrs. Jeffries, aged 21 years 6 months and 2 days.
Miss Jeffries has not been in good health for a few years. She was been a constant sufferer, her ailment baffled medical skill. Some three months ago she was taken to Newport in hope that the ocean breeze would be conducive of better health, but last Thursday she was brought home, with no hope of relief. She graduated at Sacred Heart academy, this city, in 1890, with highest honors. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Wednesday).
Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian church at 10 a.m., burial at Zena cemetery. Rev. Hutchison officates. Friends of the family are invited to be present.
