OBITUARY: 

Harriet Brandt Huchinson, 71, of 3257 Champlain Drive NW, Salem, Oregon, died Thursday. Born in Columbia, Missouri, she was raised in Corvallis, graduating from Corvallis High School in 1931. In 1935 she graduated from Oregon State College with a home economics degree.
After World War II she moved to Seattle and then to Southern California, where she taught school. In 1964 she went to work for Los Angeles County as a social worker. Retiring in 1975, she moved to Salem in 1979. She was a water color artist and a member of the Keizer Arts Association, Salem Art Association and Water Color Society of Oregon.
Survivors include her husband, Davis; daughters Anne Stewart, Sutherlin, and Hilary Hutchinson, Los Angeles; brother Phillip M. Brandt, Salem.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Episcopal Church Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of DeMoss-Durdan mortuary, Corvallis, Oregon. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Water Color Society of Oregon.
