OBITUARY: 
Mrs. Henry, Eastern Star Leader, Dies
Mrs. Stella Juanita Henry, past matron of Eastern Star and for several years mother adviser for Rainbow Girls, died Saturday in a Salem hospital at the age of 75.
An Oregon resident all her life, except for one year in Illinois, she was a teacher for many years in Lincoln and Zena Schools and in later years served as State Senate billroom clerk for three Legislatures.
She was past worthy matron of Chadwick Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, past worthy high priestess of Willamette Shrine 2, White Shrine of Jerusalem; and for 13 years she was mother advisor for Chadwick Assembly, Rainbow Girls.
Father a Minister
From the time of her marriage to Wayne D. Henry in 1905 until his retirement from farming in 1946 to move to 830 Shipping St. Salem, she lived on farms near Zena, most of the time on the place which had been the summer farm of her father, the late Rev. William J. Crawford, minister and educator.
She was past master of Brush College Grange, president of Spring Valley, Home Missionary Society for several years, and also active in Republican politics while in Polk County. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was born Dec. 13, 1880, at Albany.
Willamette Graduate
Mrs. Henry was graduated from Willamette University shortly after the turn of the century. She taught school one year in Illinois and then in Silverton and Woodburn before her marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry were married November 8, 1905 on her father’s farm at Zena.
Besides her widower, she leaves a son Kenneth Henry, Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Randle, Salem and Mrs. Joyce Tracy, Chicago, Ill.; brother W. Frank Crawford, Salem; granddaughter, Mrs. Corinne Paullin and grandson Wayne A. Henry, both of Portland, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Clough-Barrick chapel, the Rev. Omer Barth officiating. Ritualistic services will be performed by Chadwick Chapter 37, Order of Eastern Star. Burial will be in Zena Cemetery.
