DEATH OF OLD RESIDENT
Christopher C. Patrick of Polk County
Dies at Spring Valley
Christopher C. Patrick of Polk County, died at his home in Spring Valley yesterday, Tuesday, May 16, 1905, of paralysis, after an illness of four months.
Deceased was born in Locke, Cayuga county, New York, July 28, 1828, where he resided until 1881, when he came to Oregon and settled at Salem. A short time afterwards he purchased a home in Spring Valley where he ever since lived.
He was known all over both Marion and Polk counties, and was a man loved and respected by all. He leaves a wife and five children, Mrs. A. H. Coyle of Polk county, William Patrick of Tillamook county, Mrs. Edith Bixby of Tillamook, A. M. Patrick of this city, and Mrs. Hattie Gibson of Polk county.
The funeral was held this morning at 11 o’clock from the Zena church in Spring Valley, and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends from the home county and this city.
