OSBH DC (Polk County 1922) #109 - Wilford Harvey Crawford, male, farmer, widowed (Dora E. Cawford), b. 17 Sept 1885 in Palmyra, Illinois, d. 12 Sep 1922 in Zena, Oregon (lived in town 33 years), at the age of 36 yrs 11 mos 26 dys, name of father George H. Crawford (b. Palmyra, Illinois), maiden name of mother Alzina L. Lane [Lair] (b. Palmyra, Illinois), interment Zena Cemetery. 

OBITUARY: 

Milford [sic] Crawford, 36 years old, committed suicide at his home near Zenith [sic], Polk county, Tuesday by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun. The body was found by Crawford’s father and the coroner was notified. 
It was said that Mr. Crawford had been grieving over the death of his wife and had been suffering from ill-health resulting from being gored by a bull. 
He is survived by his father, three brothers and a baby born shortly before Mrs. Crawford’s death.
