OBITUARY: 

DENA H. FREER -- Dallas -- Dena H. Freer, 81, 301 Miller Ave., died Monday in a Dallas hospital.
A native of Missouri, she had lived in the Pedee and Falls City areas where she taught.  She continued teaching in the Yahats area before retiring.  In 1956 she came to Dallas.  She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Dallas Senior Citizens and Four Square Gospel Church.
Surviving are daughters Mrs. Besta Olson, St. Helens, Mrs. Verda Murphy, Taylor, Arizona, and Mrs. Dorothea Barnard, Dallas; sister Alama Freer, Falls City; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bollman mortuary, Rev. Dan Phay officiating.  Interment will be in Womer Cemetery, Pedee.

Dena Hoppe Freer, 81, of Dallas, a former resident of Pedee and Falls City, died October 29 in Polk Community Hospital in Dallas. Born on May 14, 1892 in Green Briar, Mo, she was a school teacher and a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Senior Citizens and Four Square Gospel Church. She resided in Fir Grove, Pedee and Falls City until 1949 when the family moved to Arago and Yachats, returning to Dallas in 1956. Survivors include daughters Mrs Vesta Olson of St Helens, Mrs Verda Murphy of Taylor, Ariz, and Mrs Dorthea Barnard of Dallas; a sister Mrs Alma Freer of Falls City, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on November 1 in Bollman Funeral Home in Dallas, Rev Dan Phay officiating. Interment was private and held in the Womer Cemetery.
