OBITUARY: 

Nora Caroline Bennett, 86, of 18705 Pedee Rd, Monmouth, died Thursday evening in a Salem Hospital. She was born in Kansas on June 20, 1892 the daughter of William and Julia Howard Anderson. The family had lived in the Kings Valley – Pedee area since 1927 where Mrs Bennett was active in the Pedee Women’s Club. Surviving are four sons, L.E. Bennett and Kenneth Bennett of Pedee; Hurchel Bennett of Wenatchee, Wash; Willis Bennett of Klamath, Cal, and Robert Bennett of Sitka, Alaska along with 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services were held on Monday in the Womer Cemetery with Revs Troy Wier, George Dotson and David Bennett officiating. Bollman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and those who desire may contribute to the Pedee Fire Dept or the Pedee Women’s Club in her memory.
