OBITUARY:
Julia Ann Arnold, age 60, passed away in a Dallas hospital Saturday at noon following an illness of only four days. The daughter of Lewis and Clarinda Edelman Ritner, she was born at Pedee June 5, 1866 [sic; 1886], and lived most of her life in that community. On December 23, 1903, she was united in marriage to Robert B. Arnold. Seven children were born to them, four of whom survive, two daughters, Mrs Howard Perry of Route 1, Monmouth and Mrs Robert Hanna, Salem; two sons, Debney Arnold, Route 1, Monmouth and Robert Arnold of Redmond; one sister, Mrs Frank Sheythe of Pedee and one brother, Peter M. Ritner of Sisters. There are also two granddaughters. Mr Arnold passed away in 1934. Mrs Arnold had remained on the farm until she sold it last spring. She had lived for a time with Mrs Blanche Fenton in Dallas. Mrs Arnold was a member of the Evangelical church. Funeral services were held at the Keeney Funeral chapel in Corvallis Wednesday afternoon with Rev E.A. Fogg officiating. Interment was in the family plot in the Womer cemetery at Pedee.
