OBITUARY: 
Thomas Vale Died of Heart Attack at OSC
Thomas A. Vale, 61, 529 North Fourth street, died about 11 a.m. today of a heart attack in front of Hudson hall at Oregon State college. He had been employed as janitor at the college for the past three years He had asked to be excused from work today and was on his way home when the attack occurred, it was reported. He was born at Pedee July 26, 1888, the son of William and Mary Hooker Vale, and attended school at Pedee. On February 12, 1927, he was married to Adah Fae Ketchem at Corvallis. The couple had lived in Corvallis since then. He had been employed as a clerk at the J.R. Smith hardware and at Heckart’s until 1943. He had been a fireman at Camp Adair. He was a member of the Baptist church of Corvallis. He is survived by the widow; one daughter, Mrs Roberta Crocker, Alsea; one brother, Charles L. Vale, Rainier, Oregon; one niece, Mrs Agnes Epperly, Philomath. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
