OBITUARY: 

Services will be held for Mrs Delpha Laurel Allister and Douglas Jon Allister, Salem, at 2 pm Thursday in the Dallas Christian church with Rev Charles Knox officiating. Interment will be in the Brown cemetery under the direction of the Bollman Funeral Home. They were killed Sunday, June 16 in an automobile accident six miles south of Corvallis when the car Mrs Allister was driving struck a culvert. She was born Jan 4, 1937 in Turner, the daughter of John and Osce Redick Cook. She married Jimmie Allister Sept 24, 1955 in Dallas. She had lived in the Dallas-Salem area all of her married life and was a member of the Christian church. Douglas was born March 27, 1958 in Dallas, the son of Jimmie Aaron and Delpha L. Allister. He had completed the third grade in a Salem school. Survivors included the husband and father, Jimmie Al Allister; daughters and sisters, Susan Marie and Roxanne Jane Allister; two brothers and sons, Jimmie L. and Vance Lee Allister, all at home; parents and grandparents, Mr and Mrs John L. Cook, Hood River. Other survivors of Mrs Allister include a sister, Mrs Elmer Flatt, Lakeside and six brothers, F.E. Morris, Hood River; Marshall Morris, Mapleton; Vern F. Russell, Salem; Jerry Cook, Reedsport; Gene R. Cook, Lake Oswego; and Hugh L. Cook, Sutherlin. Other survivors of Douglas are his grandparents, Mr and Mrs R.E. Morrison, Independence, seven uncles and three aunts.
