Wm. P. Shaw, aged 72 years, dropped dead on the sidewalk in front of his meat market in Dallas at an early hour Monday morning. He went to the market as usual to assist in opening it up for the days business, being in fair health apparently, but for some time he has complained of heart troubles.
Mr. Shaw has been a Dallas business man for a number of years and has always been held in the highest respect by our citizens. He leaves a wife and several children, all of whom are grown and doing business in different parts of the state.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday by the Dallas lodge of Odd Fellows, of which he was a prominent member. The remains were laid to rest in the Brown cemetery north of town.
