OBITUARY: 
Mrs Mary Jane Turner was born in Indiana in 1847, and came to Oregon in 1854, crossing the plains with her parents. On September 24, 1871, she was united in marriage with William M. Turner. She passed away at her home in Lewisville last Friday aged 63 years. The funeral was conducted by Rev C.P. Gates of the Evangelical church, and interment was made in the Smith cemetery. Her husband preceded her five years. Deceased left six sons and one daughter. She was for many years a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, South, and was a devoted Christian lady.
