OBITUARY: 
Mrs Blanche O. Robbie, 73, late of 1022 Monmouth St, Independence, passed away in a Salem hospital Thursday evening following a short illness. She was born on March 31, 1887 at Alliance, Nebraska and in 1903 she moved with her parents to Independence, Oregon, in 1905 they moved to Louisville and in 1909 to Dallas. On July 30th, 1913 she was married to James S. Robbie and made their home in Dallas to 1916 when they moved to Independence. She was a member and a Past Noble Grand of Clover Leaf Rebekah Lodge No 56 of Independence and the Ladies Encampment Auxiliary of Monmouth and the First Presbyterian Church of Independence. Surviving are her husband, James S. Robbie, Independence, two brothers, Frank McKinney of Portland and Elmer McKinney of Seattle, Wash. Funeral services were from the First Presbyterian Church, Independence, Monday at 2:00 pm. Interment was in the Smith cemetery, Monmouth. Rev Robert C. Duncan officiated. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Smith-Krueger Mortuary. Independence Enterprise, Thursday, February 2, 1961, 2:6-7
