OBITUARY: 
Lifeless Body Found in Hotel
The body of Lester James Lewis, 60, unemployed, was found on a bed in his room in the Valley hotel, 1030 SE 2nd avenue, early Sunday morning and the coroner’s office attributed the death, pending an autopsy, to acute alcoholism. Police arrested Louis F. Karsten, 33, who shared the room with Lewis, and Andrew W. Hayes, 50, on charges of drunkenness and placed an additional hold for investigation on trhe two men after they found Lewis’ body on their return to the hotel.
Died: Lewis – Late of 2337 NE 39th ave, Oct 5, Lester, aged 65 years. Father of Mrs Dorothea Burnside, brother of Mrs Vada Madson of Portland, Mrs Ida Grant and Percy Lewis of Dallas, Or; Mrs Leoda Smith of Tillamook, Or. Also survived by two grandchildren. Arrangements in care of Miller & Tracey.
