Caroline Carrington, June 11, 1924-May 29, 1996
Caroline Juanita Carrington of Independence died May 29 in Salem following a brief illness. She was 71. 
Born in Mossy Rock, Wash., she attended school in Centralia, Wash, moving to Oregon in 1953. She married Clyde M. Carrington on Sept 11, 1947 in Olympia, Wash. 
A homemaker, she enjoyed playing bingo and cards. 
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Carrington of Independence; sons, Roy Carrington of Chico, Calif., Robert Carrington of Grand Junction, Colo., and Bill Carrington of Tacoma, Wash.; daughters, Carmon Gagldari and Betty Carrington, both of Independence and Margaret Mann of Marysville, Wash.; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 1 at the Cornerstone Church of God in Independence. Interment followed at Fir Crest [sic; Smith] Cemetery in Monmouth. 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Church of God, S 7th and E Streets in Independence.
