OBITUARY: 
William A.J. Hoisington, aged 76, who passed away last Thursday was born in Fillmore county, Minn, June 13, 1857. Funeral sErvices wer eheld Sunday afternoon at the Lewisville church, with Rev A.P. Layton of Milwaukie in charge. Interment was in the Smith cemetery. Mr Hoisington was united in marriage to Mary A. McIntire in Kansas, June 29, 1879, and in 1929 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr Hoisington took a homestead in Cherkoee Strip in Oklahoma in 1894, and in September 1903 he moved to Oregon where he spent the remainder of his life. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Claude, Ernest, Mrs Ettie Kaup and Mrs Bessie Groves of Monmouth; Arthur of Deer Hollow, Wash; Lerwis of Norman, Okla; Mrs Alda Burns of Dallas; Nora Yenne of LaCenter, Wash; Dora Ritchie of Cottage Grove. Eighteen grandchildren also survive and one great-grandchild besides a host of friends. Two children passed away in infancy. All of Mr Hoisington’s children were present for the funeral with the exception of Arthur and Lewis. Arthur was called home on October 28 when he received word that his wife had passed away while he was visiting his fasther. Mr Hoisington became a member of the Methodist church in 1896.
