OBITUARY: 
Lawrence E. Miller died at his home, No 111 Birch street, this (Thursday) morning after an illness of more than two years. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 at the Chapman-Henkle chapel and interment will be in the Smith cemetery at Lewisville. Mr Miller was born in Marion county, Ill, July 11, 1869. He came to Oregon in 1913 from Oklahoma, where he had resided for some time. For a while he farmed near Airlie and then came to Dallas in 1921. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Margaret C. Miller. There are no children.

Lawrence E. Miller, residing at 111 Birch street, died this morning, May 1, at the age of 55 years. Mr Miller had been ill for the past two years and bedfast for over two months. Mr Miller was born at Patoka, Marion Coumnty, Ill, on July 11, 1869. He came to Oregon from Oklahoma in 1913 and located near Airlie on a farm. He lived there until 1921 when he came to Dallas to live. Mr Miller is survived by his wife Mrs Margaret C. Miller, a brother Huston Miller of Caddo, Okla, and a sister, Mrs Lucie Kissney of Patoka, Ill. Funeral services will be held from the Chapman & Henkle chapel at 1:30 Sunday, May 4, and interment will be in Smith’s cemetery at Lewisville. The service will be in charge of the Modern Woodmen of America lodge.
