In mentioning the Guthrie School District, a most faithful and devoted service was rendered by Rannie R. Riggs, who served for about thirthy years as school clerk."

OBITUARY: 
Rannie Reuben Riggs, who had resided on his farm near Fern’s Mill since early childhood, passed away Wednesday night. Mr Riggs was stricken with paralysis about three years ago and had been confined to his home most of the time since. 
He was born March 22, 1868, near Salem. His father and mother both died before he was a year old and he was reared by relatives who resided in the Gilliam commumnity. He married Miss Mattie Bennett in 1906. They were the parents of three children, George W. Riggs, Mrs. Audrey O. Cooper and Mrs. Mabel A. Allen, all of Dallas, who with his wife survive him. 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Henkle & Bollman chapel with burial in the Riggs cemetery near his home.
