OBITUARY: 
Edgar M. Brown, pioneer resident of Polk county, passed away Monday evening at Tillamook. Graveside services were held at the family cemetery on the Fay Brown place at Salt Creek Wednesday at 2 o’clock with Rev. K.E. Burke officiating. Mr. Brown was born July 29, 1866, on the old Applegate D.L.C. north of Dallas. He was a son of George and Martha Brown. Practically his entire life had been spent in and near Dallas. For the past year he had resided in Portland. Mr. Brown is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Loree Hardesty, Portland; Mrs. Esther Bowles, Salem, and Mrs. Edythe Field, Salem; and two grandchildren, Claude Bowles and Kathleen Field. There are also two brothers, G.F. Brown and Alvin Brown, both of Dallas.
