1900 OR CENSUS - Jane B. Hedgepeth, age 47, mother of 4 children 3 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Feb 1853 in Arkansas, is enumerated with her husband of 27 years, Joel, age 48, occuaption farmer, b. Jun 1851 in Missouri, along with Delmer E., age 12, b. Jul 1887 in Oregon.

OBITUARY: 
Belinda Jane (Wood) Hedgpeth, member of a pioneer Polk county family and long a resident here, died on April 3 at the home of her daughter, Mrs Anna Wheeler of Tillamook. Mrs Hedgpeth was 73 years old at the time of her death. She was born on February 18, 1853, in Arkansas and started across the plains when six weeks old with her parents. The family settled in Polk county where she spent the greater part of her life. She was married on October 12, 1873, to Joel Hedgpeth, who died over 20 years ago. She is survived by four children, Mrs Lettie Anderson, Portland, Mrs Anna Wheeler, Tillamook, Delmer Hedgpeth, Olympia, Wash, and Mrs Wade Williams, a foster daughter, of Airlie. There are seven grandchildren and and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Airlie and she was buried beside her husband. Mrs Hedgpeth was a member of the South Methodist church from early womanhood and a minister of that church from Corvallis conducted the services.
