OBITUARY: 

Thelma Mae Moyer Eastman, Sept 5, 1921-May 29, 2010

Thelma Mae Moyer Eastman, 88, of Monmouth died May 29 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Hershey, Pa, to Edward and Mary Miller Moyer. Thelma married Thomas Eastman on May 26, 1940. They lived in Buckeye, Ariz, until 1969. They then moved to Prospect in Southern Oregon and lived there until 1971, when they moved to Monmouth, when they moved to Monmouth. Thelma enjoyed gardening, cooking and her family. Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Giesbrecht of Dallas; sons, Thomas Eastman of Lebanon and Jess Eastman of Salem; brother, Larry Moyuer of Little Rock, Ark; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Service was June 4 at Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence. Interment was at English Cemetery (Fir Crest Cemetery District) in Monmouth. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
