OBITUARY: Martha Gertrude Waters, who was born April 26, 1874, near Airlie, passed away June 14 on the place where she was born. She was the daughter of James M. and Anna F. Staats. She was married to F. Marion Waters, November 5, 1906. Funeral services were conducted by Rev J. A. Neufeld at the Keeney funeral home in Independence. She is survived by her husband, two brothers and one sister: Roscoe Staats of Independence, Willie Staats of Salem and Irma Hecker of Albany. Burial was in the English cemetery near Airlie.
