OBITUARY:
Jessie M. Edwards, 82, of Philomath died Dec 5 in a Corvallis hospital. She was born in Airlie, the daughter of G.J. (Sharp) and Nancy Crowley Bevens. She lived in Airlie and Pedee in Polk county until moving to Philomath about 30 years ago. Mrs Edwards was a member of Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include a son, Harley of Juneau, Alaska; five daughters, Mrs Hal Hamm, Mrs Forrest Shaw, Mrs Merle Bthers and Mrs Leon Stratton, all of Philomath and Mrs Lee Siets of Mehama; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were Dec 7 in McHenry mortuary in Corvallis with the Rev John B. Houser officiating. Interment was in Edwards cemetery, Pedee.
