OBITUARY: 
Mary Ellen Chamberlin was born October 28, 1858 in Cooper Hollow and was married to Enoch Chamberlin February 15, 1878 in Albany. She is survived by one son, Ross L. Chamberlin, and three grandsons, Chester, Harry and Dean of Myrtle Creek. She passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oberson in Albany, July 29. Funeral services will be held in the Smith-Baum chapel in Monmouth Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. W.A. Elkins officiating, with burial in the Chamberlin cemetery.

Mary Ellen Chamberlain, widow of Enoch Chamberlain, of Monmouth, passed away at the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Oberson in Albany Thursday morning, July 29, after a two weeks’ illness. Mrs Chamberlain was a native of Polk county, having been born at Cooper Hollow, October 28, 1859. Mary Ellen Christian was married to Mr Chamberlain at Albany on February 15, 1885. He passed away several years ago. She is survived by a son, Ross Chamberlain of Myrtle Creek, Ore, and three grandsons, Chester, Harry and Dean, all of Myrtle Creek. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Smith-Baun chapel at Monmouth with Rev W.A. Elkins officiating. Interment will be made in the Chamberlain cemetery, near the original Chamberlain donation land claim south of Monmouth.
