OBITUARY: 
Miss Caroline Ford Burch, 81, died at her home at Rickreall Thursday [sic; Saturday], March 29. Her entire life had been spent at the home place at Rickreall, excepting for absences while teaching school. She was born at Dallas January 30, 1871, to Samuel T. Burch and Sarah Elizabeth Ford, early Polk county pioneers. The family moved to Rickreall a year later and had resided at the Burch home just west of the highway intersection. Miss Burch was interested in art and flowers and was an authority on local history. She had written numerous articles printed in the Itemizer Observer from time to time. She was an active member of the Rickreall Ladies Aid and a member of the Huguenot Society. Funeral serviuces were held at the Bollman Funeral chapel Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Dr. Earl W. Benbow, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was in the Pioneer Burch cemetery at Rickreall. 
Miss Burch is survived by one brother, Franklin P. Burch, and three sisters, Mary E. Burch, Edith E. Burch and S. Aurelia Burch, all residing at the family home at Rickreall. There are five nieces and five nephews surviving.
